“We are conditioned to think, feel, and react the way that we do when life starts to pour down on us. It’s natural to be tough on ourselves and continually search for external solutions.
But here’s the good news. We already possess all the power, skill, and necessary components needed to complete us. The brain has all the power needed to change your life for the better.
Think about this, our thoughts and actions change the chemicals in our brain. When we practice deep, slow breathing, relax our muscles, and think positive thoughts, we are actually rewiring our brain.
Our current response to stress feels natural and hard to combat, because they are habits that most likely were picked up when we were young. Through yoga I believe that it has really helped me to understand this and helped me deal with stress and other issues in life. We know that life isn't easy and I believe yoga helps me deal with these stress-related problems.
I really enjoyed your class it was something very helpful and I hope that you could teach more yoga to help other people like the way you helped me, so people can explore this magical wonder which is called yoga.”

Yoga has helped me achieved a lot of inner peace within my mind. I suffered from insomnia and every night, I had to take medications to fall asleep. However, since I started doing yoga and those breathing exercises, I STOPPED taking those sleeping medications and WAS falling asleep naturally and staying asleep and feeling refreshed the following mornings.
Taking yoga was one of the best decisions of my life and I plan on keep practicing yoga.
I want to make yoga a part of my lifestyle. PCCC Student, Fall 2015
Hi professor, just want to say I really enjoyed having a stress free class this semester. Before the class I had so little interest in yoga and was just signing up so I could get my Physical education elective done. While I can't see myself practicing yoga at a studio in the future, I definitely will carry other things along with me. Thanks for opening up my eyes to how simple yet important stretching, breathing, and being mindful are. Have a great summer, and good luck to you! PCCC Student, Spring 2016
A day after this class I actually found out some bad news. I began to get really anxious about this bad news, as I usually do with everything. So on Friday morning, I decided to spend 20 minutes meditating before I went to work, so I wouldn’t be all in my head all day. This meditation helped me ground myself. I should use it more. Over all this class was the best choice I made before I graduate. I would love to take this class again. It was a great experience thanks to the professor and the classmates who made it even more interesting. I was able to become more aware and be mindful of my inner spirituality/peace and focus. I would focus more on doing poses that alleviates aches, pain, and sometimes challenge myself to do poses that test my balance.
